| Dr.
McDonough's service in the United States Navy fostered his
love of sailing and naval history. His nautical interest,
coupled with a pair of skilled hands, has led to his pastime
of building beautiful model ships.
With
initial training in vascular surgery, and extensive experience
in hand surgery; he has become expert in the microsurgical
techniques of replantation and free tissue transfer, as well
as advanced cancer surgery.
An
active member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand,
a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and author of
many scientific papers, Dr. McDonough also serves as Associate
Professor of Clinical Surgery and Associate Professor of Orthopaedic
Surgery at the University of Cincinnati. |
