| Andrew
D. Markiewitz, MD has recently joined our practice, bringing
with him an enthusiastic interest in clinical medicine, research,
and education. He had been the Director of the Hand and Upper
Extremity Section at the Medical Center of the University
of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Arkansas Children’s
Hospital, and the John McClellan VA Memorial Medical Center
in Little Rock, Arkansas. While interested in all hand and
upper extremity concerns, he has a particular interest in
the care of pediatric, congenital, sports, and traumatic hand
injuries.
While active in research and clinical practice, Dr. Markiewitz
remains committed to education and was awarded the Walter
G. Selakovich Faculty Award for his outstanding contribution
to resident education in June 2002. His wife and children
have accompanied him on their return to Ohio having lived
from one end of the United States to the other during the
course of his training and military service.
