Financial Policy / Billing
At Hand Surgery Specialists, our primary concern is your health, and we will make every effort to accommodate any unusual circumstances that cause you to have difficulty paying.
Payment for services is due at the time of the visit.
All copays will be collected at that time as well. If the patient does not provide the billing office with appropriate information necessary to submit an insurance claim, we will ask the patient to pay. Please ask your primary care physician to complete a referral if your insurance requires one for a visit to a specialist.
The fee for an initial examination will vary depending on the complexity of the problem. Additional charges will be made for diagnostic tests or X-rays and for treatments such as casts, splints or injections.
If you have surgery, you w ill receive a seperate statement for the services provided by the Surgery Center. The bill will include supplies, equipment, personnel, and use of the operating room and recovery rooms. You will receive separate bills for the following:
• Your surgeon
• Anesthesiology services, if rendered
• Laboratory test and x-rays taken before or during your surgery
• Pathology services (the examination of tissue or specimens removed during surgery) if required
If you are unable to pay on the day you receive services from Hand Surgery Specialists, please discuss the situation with our Business Office by calling 513 961-4268 so that special arrangements can be made. Again, our primary concern is your health.
If you have any questions, contact us via email or call (513) 961-4268.
